Requiem
In the quiet of the night, when shadows stretch long,
Memories whisper softly, like an old, familiar song.
Time’s river flows onward, yet my heart holds tight,
To the echoes of laughter that once danced in the light.
Beneath the stars’ embrace, where dreams take their flight,
I gather the fragments of moments shining bright.
Though the world may be silent, and the days may grow cold,
In the warmth of remembrance, love’s story is told.
Each tear is a tribute, each sigh a farewell,
To the souls we cherish, the tales we know well.
For in every heartbeat, in the hush of the night,
Lives the spirit of those who have taken their flight.
So I raise my voice gently, in the stillness I find,
To honor the departed, forever entwined.
In the tapestry of time, their colors won’t fade,
For love is eternal, and memories won’t trade.
