Shadows
In the quiet of a room, I lay my heart bare,
Stripped of illusions, tangled in despair.
Shadows creep closer, whispers of my pain,
In a world that feels heavy, a moment to explain.
Each wound tells a story, a tale of the past,
Of dreams left unspoken, of memories cast.
I reach for the fragments, the pieces of light,
Yet find only echoes that linger in night.
What if the truth is a burden to bear?
What if the love held in silence lays bare?
The longing for comfort, the fear of embrace,
In this struggle for solace, I search for a trace.
With every reflection, I question my worth,
‘Neath the weight of the world, I feel all I’ve lost.
Yet through the confusion, a spark starts to glow,
A flicker of courage begins to bestow.
To uncover the layers, to open my soul,
To dance with the shadows and strive to be whole.
For in the disarming, I find strength to rise,
Through the pain and the heartache, I’ll break through the ties.
So here in this moment, I take a deep breath,
Embracing the journey, the love and the death.
For life’s about healing, the scars that define,
In the beauty of chaos, my spirit will shine.
