We Hide Behind a Smile
We hide behind a smile,
Our true selves kept concealed,
In a world that often judges,
Our hearts remain unhealed.
We face the world with laughter,
Yet carry silent pain,
Beneath our cheerful surfaces,
The struggles still remain.
With heavy burdens hidden
And dreams we dare not share,
We wear our bright façades,
As we navigate this glare.
Yet deep within us linger
The truths we cannot show,
The hopes and fears we harbor,
The pain that others don’t know.
So let us lift our voices,
And share what’s deep inside,
For though we wear a smile,
Our strength comes from our pride.
In unity, we’ll find hope,
In honesty, we'll thrive,
For when we shed our masks,
We learn to truly live.
